Outlook Toolbar
I want to load a custom commandbar to the email editor when we load a new instance of editor. (Using Word as Default Email editor)
I have done this in Word by writing AutoNew() event handler but when I try to use it through Outlook or even in Word (by clicking new Mail Message) the macro is not executed.
The AutoNew() macro was written in Normal.dot template.
Any ideas?

Re: Outlook Toolbar
Did you create the toolbar manually or via code? it sounds like you are wanting to have this toolbar on the email viewer window (Inspector). If you have Macros disabled then no code will run.

Re: Outlook Toolbar
The bar is created by code
I have added a command bar object to the commandbars collection.
macros are enabled.
The macro runs when word is executed but not executed when an instance of Word is opened via Outlook

Re: Outlook Toolbar
I imagine that's because I don't think that it uses the normal.dot as the email template.
I suspect that it uses a different template.

Re: Outlook Toolbar
If you go to the File > Properties of the email thats being created or edited with Word you can click the General tab and see that it uses the Nrmal.dot template.
What is probably happening is that Outlook turns on and off the appropriate default toolbars. So you have two options.
1. Add a custom toolbar button to the Email toolbar.
2. Add a custom button to the Standard toolbar in the Outlook Inspector
