Windows 2k Profiles
Good morning, I was wondering what would cause the following:
-Each of our users have a local login (their PC), and also a login to the domain. They always use the domain login.
-A week ago, a user came to us saying her icons were missing. Upon examining her computer, we came to find that somehow her LOCAL profile folder, and her DOMAIN profile folder (user.DOMAIN) became switched. It was a simple fix of logging in as administrator, and renaming the folders...
-Again this morning, a different user had the same problem, and the same fix was used to fix this problem.
-Both users are running windows 2k SP4, and each time the profiles switched, it said windows recently installed an update.
Has anyone ever had this problem before?

Re: Windows 2k Profiles
I had something very similar a long time ago but with win 98 profiles, Microsoft had a patch for it so you might want to do a search. I seem to remember it was pretty hard to find though.

Re: Windows 2k Profiles
I have had similar problems before; usually deleting the directory for the roaming profile cures the problem.
