I'm using Windows XP Pro, and I want to secure some sharing by password
What to do? Do I need to install a special software?
I've look and have'nt find aynwhere a place to assign or set a password on a share.

You don't do it directly. You do this by modifying the share permissions. You need to remove "everyone" form the list and add only the users who you want to be able ot access the share. Then, when someone attmepts to connect they will be prompted for a user name and password.
You could use CACLS. Check out the options with CACLS by itself, and it will display them.

cacls wouldnt be the best option for that tho bc if you need to change the rights you have to use comand prompt or a batch file using the others method described would work better its easier to do also
