If you are familiar with VB.NET, the CF is just a subset of that. While some functions are not available, the syntax is the same. Therefore, if you know VB.NET, this place might be all the further reference you need. If you are new to VB.NET, then you might look for a general .NET reference rather than one specific to the CF.
I have seen a few books on programming with the CF, but they tend to focus on DB development. Since that is often a big part of PDA progams, it's not a bad focus.
