in what lenguage do you build an operation system?
does any1 knows on any really googd links to sites that got lots of info about how can i build my own os? i know it might take hard work but i really want to try any ideas links? thx

I herd that unix was made of QuickBasic. My tuter is ver smart he knows things like this it are a good language because you can do the graphic.

You can't even program in VB right. What makes you think you can take on C++ and assembly routines to create your own operating system. Best to use DirectX. It's the number one solution to all of your problems :lol:

btw - QuickBasic only runs on Intel systems, so you can tell your tutor that all Unix boxes are NOT running DOS or Windows.

i don't know vb b/c i have been working on building app for MAC ONLY!!

only want to windows app building this year :(

Have you tried building your OS entirely with SandPaper^TM? It worked wonders for NoteMe, it'll work even more for you!!!

Well, ask him to bring in a windows laptop that's running UNIX, without having them both available. Trust me. UNIX was NOT written in QB. It is a lot older than QB, anyways UNIX was developed about 40 years ago. Before PC's were invented.

When i pass this class ill know more tahn you. but now I need to begin leasrning the codes for writting things on the cosole window then i can write a cool program like grep and then seach all the file.

Thats right who needs experience, just pass a class and your the worlds leading expert on all related subject matter.

He sounds like one of them I passed my teaching degree so I know everything. tell him to come on here and spin soem code. :)
