2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Anyone see the new si's? Comments? Aside from the new design I read the engine is a step up from the Intergas with a bigger intake and some new injection thingy. Forget what the name was though but hp is about the same. Dunno if I like the separation of the tack and speedO plus it being digital.

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
If you like insubstancial polystyrene kiddie's toy cars then yes its not bad. But if you want a motor that won't make you look like a Cardiff Shoplifter then you want something like a Skyline.
If you ran over an old lady in a Civic you'd have to explain in front of a jury why you even own one, imagine the embarrassment. A Skyline needs no justification.

Yep, Skyline is the way to....HEY! Nothing wrong with Cardiff you racist ******!

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Cardiff shoplifters are the finest in all Christendom.

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Woss, a bit of friendly advice. Don't ever come into Wales as with your attitude you probably wouldn't survive the trip as the Welsh do not like being looked down upon
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
I love Wales. I wasn't being serious anyway. Fine law abiding people.
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
With an attitude like you have I'm surprised they didn't chase you with uzi's and AK-7's!

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Abersoch's gun trade has got worse since I last went by the sound of it.

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Why go for imports? Why can't ya get something with real power. A GTO or a Dakota, or something that doesn't make you look like a sissy? Rear-wheel drive is the way to go dude.
Besides, my souped up 5.9L V-8 in my dakota doesn't actually suck a whole lot of gas. I only have to fill up just less than once a week (about 3 times a month)

Deranged, you are obviously not caning it hard enough :D. Must try harder.

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
That's a lot of petrol/gas. I only have to fill up once every 3 weeks. Why go for imports? Because they are generally better!
Nissan Skyline - Definitely the one to get
Subaru Impreza - Not as good as Skyline but still good
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Skyline looks dead hard too. Especially a gunmetal colored one with recessed lake pipes, the noise is fantastic.
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Definitely, there's a certainly class to it too. Beautiful to drive, although it scared the hell out of me, it felt like it was on train tracks!

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Best car in the world for 360's and J-Escapes. My getaway car of choice. :D
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Without mods it also looks quite inconspicuous, which makes it great for drag races at traffic lights :D
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Inconspicuous?
In the same way that a Fireblade looks inconspicuous in a scooter shop.
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
It does look inconspicuous. You look at a Dodge Viper and you know it's a sport car. A Ferrari, Lambo etc all look the part. A Skyline looks more like a family saloon, which so happens to have a beast of an engine underneath

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
Cant beat a Smart roadster

Bodwad you are hereby banished from this forum. The charge, heinous posting!!
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
He's got a point, a Smart Roadster would pwn a Skyline...
...in a "looking like a hairdresser" competition.

If only Bodwad had hair!

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
The Skyline looks like a Honda Prelude. I don't think you can get one in the US. I was looking at the new Lexus IS 350's. 300 hp right out of the factory. Only thing it's a four door. Dunno if id like that. Id lease a Viper but where im gonna be living is up in the air right now so. My neighbor is on his third one. First was red with black sided pipes second was a blue gts with either grey or white racing stripes forget which. The one he has now is a convert. Gun metal like grey color. Pretty nice.
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
300hp? Is that all!?!
Some of the Skyline's (The GT-R I think) is at an awesome 980bhp
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
You can get then in the US, that's where I first saw one (admittedly on TV).
The Preludes that I know don't look much like proper skylines (One thing that annoys me about skylines is the hundreds of different variants). By "proper" i mean the huge ones with the angular bodywork and the low profile spoilers. I'd happily swap my **** for a skyline :D
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
The difference is I can pose in my Roadster while driving whereas anyone with a 200BHP car cant afford the petrol and has to stand next to it
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
But who would WANT to pose with a Roadster? I'd be wearing a mask just in case anyone recoginsed me due to the potential embarrassment factor. the roadster is S**T!! Even the company has admitted that!
-
Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
I've never seen a Skyline in the US, but I've seen some nice ones out of the country before. Definitely much nicer than the 60 bhp car I drive.

Not out here it isn't. You couldn't drive anything with rear-wheel drive for 4-5 months of the year.

Well, the Skyline is an incredible car. But it's really unrealistic to have one in the USA. It costs ~$80,000 to get one shipped and all that (not sure exactly what all the money is for, but I know it's a tedious and costly process).
But there are better--much better. The Viper GTS is a great car, the Ford GT-40 is sweet, the Corvette Z06 is bad ass.
There are better Imports too. The Ferarri Enzo (though there's only 398 of them [one got wrecked]), Lamborghini (any. heh), Lotus has some nice cars.
I'm not saying I don't like the Skyline as I'd drive it any day, I'm just saying there are lots better and cheaper American cars.

I can definitely see that as being a good reason if it's because of lots of snow/ice (I'm assuming)

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
They are allegedly making a "Blue Angel" version of the '07 Corvette that costs $100,000. I saw pictures of it on a car show. Here is the "plain" one...

Re: 2006 Civic SI Vs. Integra GSX
So you're saying that GT40's Enzo's and Lambo's are better than a Nissan Skyline?
Well yes obviously, because they cost 3/4 times as much and are twice as fast.
Ferrari's just make the driver look like a t***, Skylines make every other driver crap their pants in ph34r :D
