[RESOLVED] could not load some objects
I am 're posting' this because after thinking the problem was solved it has reared its ugly head again.
Just to recap.
I wrote a VB application in AutoCAD2005 the application ran well.
My counterpart requested I provide it to him, and I did, he is running AutoCAD2004. The application would load and execute on his machine, he ran into some problems and reported them to me. I corrected the issues and removed unused code from the application.
Whe I went to load the application the next day I received the following message "could not load some objects they are not available on this machine"
I posted to this forum and received a reply from RobDog888. In the interum I found that the issues seemed to be related to objects contained within frames on the dialog and completely removed all frames. Upon receiving RobDogs post I foillowed his suggestion and decided to add a frame to test. The testing was successful, I assumed we had the issue resolved. Today I decided to add the remaining frames an upon doing so found myself at square one.
Can anyone help?
Re: could not load some objects
If that didnt work then perhaps did you try using Late Binding on your object variables? There could be some controls that are specific to 2005 that are not available in 2004. You need to use only controls that are available in 2004 to make it compatible across both versions.
Re: could not load some objects
OK, RobDog888 I fatfingered the object name in the late binding. All is well.
Thanks again for your help.
