this is one of my assignment Question:
Qs: identify issues concerning interoperability with heterogenous stock market systems and how this will be achieved.
i need some advise or issues......
Hi,
the best way to analyse questions like this is rther than looking at the specific answer, look at th ebigger picture.
The bigger picture is interoperability based upon stock market systems, so lookat tit fro this point and break the question down.
look at how interoperability is analised and tackled by companies that develop these systems and ask the follwogin questions...
1. the Stock market is based upon ever changing figures and is in over 140 different languages, and these figures change second by second. how do companies deal with this.
2. In any applicaiton there is a common denominator that they are all based around. E.G.
Databses are based around ANSI SQL 92 Standard, ragardless of what applicaitonal language they use. that is there common denominator.
Object languages work on conditional operators, regardless of whether they are object or field orientated, key value pair sensetive or insensetive
3. one main interoperable issue to take on board is the fact that systems such as these have to turn virtual information into real time figures split second fast. how do they do this and what solution do these applications provuide to different virtual setups such as client machines, mulit level copmapnies, blah balh blah.
4. How scalesble are they home use or corporate?
5. How interoperable are they with regareds to security systems. these applicaitons have to be perfect in this nature as they not only protectthe shareholders information, they also protect the buyesr information as well, and with the curent securities market in a state of massive flux growth (10 per day increase in productivity, algorithmic encryptions, and hacks per day)
how do thes applicatons stay ahead and at the tope of the security chain, as essentially they protect the integrity of an entire comapny, or evn some joes home shares.
basically look at it this way, analyse the points made above here, and youre onyoto a winner.
hope this helps.

well, thank you for ur issues!! despite i understand, but i not really know the solution for those issue........
Hi,
there not really issues, just an analysis to put you onteh right lines on what to look at when focusing on the aspects of interoperability.
The qeustion is afairly broad one based upon a even broader market, and to place a pointer on issues to focus on is hard when your looking fromteh outside in on something this big.
My ifocal points were to get your tofocus not on the big picture, but the points that make up the big picture so your can place the picture your are emphasising on a canvas based upon the right points.
They werent relly issue, just generalisations on what I know about applicaiton developement and interoperability relevant to your assignment, but if youwere to lookat them as issues to focus on , you wil nto fid a solutions as there isnt one. There never willbe as interoperability is substituting one bottleneck for another. In short the best solutions to interoperability is to find the right bottleneck that fits your company based around your products.
To overview this point. Look at Microsoft aand Sun Microsystems and the great Java debate. This will +set you straight on interoperability as this is the defining arguemetn on it.
but like I said, if your looking for a solution to interoperability, you wont find one... EVER.... it doesnt exist in a corporate world such as the one youre focusing one.
hoep ths helps and sets you on the right track

I'd say the issue is that of formatting of information, where you have different systems in the stock market infrastructure working differently.
Frankly, the question is way too short, it can mean many different things.
