Wireless network

Hey there,

I just got myself the Fujitsu-Siemens T4010, and I'm looking into creating a wireless network at home, with internet connection sharing using a dialup. There's little to no chance of my expanding past two to three PC's.

What would be the best route to go in this scenario?

Never tried it like that, but as long as you set it to give a different range of IP addresses, then maybe it would work.

Well, got it up and running:
---------Laptop- [Wireless]
--------/--------
-----Access Point
--------\-------- [CAT5]
---------PC-----

Here's the fun bit. I can ping the laptop from the desktop, but not vice versa [sigh]. Any help?

Check your firewall and/or AV program. Those can block pings, among other things

What O/S are you using?
Are you using netbios?
Are you pinging names, or IP addresses.

It's better to start using static IP addresses, and then use the Access point as a DHCP server later.
