This forum is becoming unbearably slow, now, for more times than I care to mention.
What the hell are the people in charge doing about it?
What happens when the hits fall down, and the advertisment revenue falls to nothing?

Same here.
Tell me about it, I could barely get a dig in on Marty. I had to repost 3 times.
To be honest with you I would not place an add here! Not only that the Server is incredibly slow, but most of the day you cannot contact it at all. I need to hit refresh about 10 times before I see a page actually build up. This has been mentioned lots of times before but nothing has changed! Very disappointing!
Well, I for one, want to know what 'those-in-charge' are going to do about it.
This is a programmer's forum: this is not a good advert, huh :(
If I produced software this slow I'd be serving burgers and fries in a well-known fast-food restaurant.
Same here, VBF is running very slowly, if at all as I'm often getting broken connections
It's evidently a network issue, and is currently being 'resolved'
I've used that myself many times :D
. . .so have I !!!
Any ideas as to why the site is so slow lately? It's only been the past few days I've had a problem
As I said, I've had an email from one of those 'in-charge' people and they are resolving network issues:
Quote:
A network issue is being addressed. Once resolved, the speed should return.
I wish those days when karl Moore was "in-charge" be back. :ehh:
The site's fairly quick for me at the moment. Maybe because
a) its still daytime here and most of you guys aren't on
b) I blocked some of the ad servers in my hosts file :D
Who's Karl Moore?Quote:

Yes, he was.
I'm frightened to say anything, now. RB has already given me negative reps for a non-programming issue.
Did my comments make sense at least?
I wasn't angry - I was expressing outrage.
There is a difference. If the asterix upset you then so bet it - but a search for aserix'd out words on this forum returns 1000s of results.
Petty. Nothing more.
I don't really remember what you said nor I need to ... you may however dispute any neg rep and ask admin to remove it - I don't have any problem with that. I also receive neg reps for what I say so hell with it. Big deal. ;)
yeah . big deal.
I was sarcastic - are you?
I don't know.
Are you going to dish out a neg rep if I was?
Reps are over-rated
In fact: they're meaningless . . .
So why argue. It gets boring, when you've heard it all before.
Don't listen to it then?
They are good in theory but would prefer an actual rep score than some green gems
