[RESOLVED] VB and MS Office MSI
Hi gang,
I recently uninstalled a lot of crap from my computer but one of the uninstallers must have messed something up because now when I use the VB IDE the MSI installer for MS Office 2000 pops up all the time. This happens whenever I add or remove one of the regular controls (like a command button or a text box) or if I change the properties of one of these controls.
This is of course very annoying and since I don't have the setup disk for Office I can't fix it. I'm guessing there might be a registry entry or something. Are there any MSI pros around here that can help me disable the office setup from being started as soon as VB access the MSVBVM60.DLL file?

LMV, you know that MS scans the Forums. Dont want Bill to show up at your door asking to "borrow" you copy of VB6
Thats a shame because i borrowed mine of kazaa.
Well my first one was, i bought one of college, £30 for Office 2003, Publisher, Project, Visio and VB. Sorted

That's kind of you but that is not really how this should work. If you personally feel an answer here deserves a rating then you should rate that post but don't do it on the behalf of someone else :).
Re: [RESOLVED] VB and MS Office MSI
:D Well think of it this way, when im programming into the late hour of the morning, and you attempt to answer a question of mine, i would not want you to be annoyed by crappy MS messages and whatnot, thus possibly making the accuracy of help lower then usual. So Penagate fixing your problem will, i hope indirectly help myself, and billions of other VBForumer's
Shabba :D
