If your XP system has PS installed then it will do it automatically if you set it to.
File > Preferences > Saving Files > Image Previews > Allways Save.
hmm nice clue thanks!
it's odd though, I checked and that option is already on
uuh why isnt it working? I cant see any previews. it works fine for any other document (corel draw, pdf, image etc etc)
I had this issue before and I dont remember what happened other then switching from windows 2000 to XP that cleared it up. What version of PS are you using?
XP pro sp2
photoshop cs2 :( :( :( :(
MrPolite is mad
Oh, I only have PS 5.0 and 7.0
RobDog888 is :(
lol:D
still, if as you say it works in older versions it should work in this version too:( unless its a bug?
I never thought of updates.. .hmm if there are any
Is you copy of CS2, shall we say, original? Also, since CS2 is new, like you say, it could just be a bug. :(
WHAT THE HECK!
Photoshop CS no longer provides thumbnail icons of .psd files through operating system folder windows. Please use the File Browser to view your .psd thumbnail files. stupid! hah seems like the developers messed up as there is a fix to their mess:
I'll try it:D thanks for the replies

What! Those are probably n00b developers over there at Adobe. :D
I saw this part of it in case your install is an upgrade it will work but if its a new install then you need the dll.
Nice find :thumb:
hmm I read a bit more about it. Apparently they've removed it on purpose. It even said something on Adobe's website. They want you to use their browser for veiwing files.
It could also relate somehow to the next version of windows... maybe longhorn will preview these differently or maybe the dll wouldnt work okay with longhorn?
dunno
edit: I have to restart to see if this works, and I'm in a middle of a lot of things right now so I'd post back later when I get a chance to restart:D
Thanks for the additional info MP. ;) Now all I need to do is get CS2 one of these days :D
rebooted and it didnt work
searched a bit more and it turns out that the dll was buggy. Adobe said that its the OS that causes problems but other people say that it was Adobe which was lazy:D god knows. anyways it was removed cuz it was buggy in some situtations
this guy here says that he did the same thing that I did and like my situtation, it didnt work for him... then he did something else? eh didnt have time to read the whole thing. might give it a try later
