Re: Want tips for MCP Exam
If you only miss one or two questions on an exam, I'm sure you will pass it. :)
Re: Want tips for MCP Exam
Transender is probably the most popular exam prep software out there.
Get plenty of rest the night before, have your route to the testing center printed out too, eat a good breakfast.
Then when taking an exam eliminate the known wrong answers first then choose from whats left.
Budget your time per question so you have enough time to answer all questions. An unanswered question is wrong. ;)

There is nothing like hands on experience though. Two years hands on experience is suggested by MS. I would say 6 mos to a year if your using it fulltime. The other point is that the tests cover a vast array of sub-topics. On the MS site there is a breakdown of each area.

And that is why Microsoft recommends a minimum of two years of hands on experience. Every Microsoft exam that I've ever taken has covered some aspects of whatever technology I was testing for, that I'd either never used, or had very limited experience with. But, because I'd been working with the technology for a while, I at least knew these aspects existed, and they were, actually, the areas I concentrated the most on when preparing for the test.

Yes, I had to study MS Transaction Server (MTS) when taking my VB6 Distributed Applications (70-175) test. I had never used or seen it. I studied hard for a week and a half and passed all the COM, DCOM, MTS, and ActiveX questions most of which I had never written any code on. :D It was hard and I barely passed.
