japanese characters displayed as ??? in VB crystal report 8.5

Hi,
I have a database field that contains Japanese characters in the VB crystal report 8.5. This displays ??? instead of the Japanese Character even though I have the fonts(Ms Mincho (japanese) installed on my system.

Can anyone help me out.

i 've had a similar problem a few time ago. are u using windows xp?
there it might help to set further settings under the region- and language options/ advanced... and then japanese or chinese or anything u want...

also u need an installed font of the language
