[WinXP] strange behavior dropdown menu's

Hi all,

I'm facing a strange problem with dropdown menu's. Since I reinstalled Windows XP the dropdown menu's are limited to +/- 10 items, although there is often more than enough space to show all items.

For example the VB6 IDE: on my system it shows like picture 1, but it used to be like (edited with Photoshop) picture 2. Is this a Windows-setting or so? I couldn't find anything... :confused:

I'm not sure why that would be, it shows heaps on mine :confused:
