Replies with the quote(s)
Many of you have noticed that many users always reply with quoting one of the entire posts whitin the current thread for no reason really ...
I wonder if there is any way to restrict quoting to max number of chars or perhaps issue a little warning (just to annoy) so they can change their habits ? Or maybe rearranging buttons (which I suggested right after that major upgrade) would work ...
Thanks for reading and sharing your ideas.

Doesn't bother me.
Re: Replies with the quote(s)
Yea, but what's the point of quoting the whole page again when you need say is one line all nothing at all ???
Re: Replies with the quote(s)
It probably just depends on the member on whether they want to put the effort into editing the quote to just the part they are referring to . With the Quick Reply function, the quote issue is probably increased since you can not edit a Quick Quote without going to the "Go Advanced" button. ;)

This is more effort and what your referring to, but there is nothing that we can do to force some kind of limit other then the 10,000 character limit on a post. But if they only want to say one thing and quote a 9,000+ quote then they can. ;)
Re: Replies with the quote(s)
I've already suggested a "selective quote" feature, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
Re: Replies with the quote(s)
Its not hard to do a full quote and then delete the verbiage that your not needing. ;)
Re: Replies with the quote(s)
Sure it is not too hard but nobody does it not to mention they don't know the difference between REPLY and REPLY WITH QUOTE options ...
I rarely reply to a mile long posts so that's why I created this thread but I guess it's not going to go anywhere - just like any other suggestion ...
