Wireless to Wired Networks.

Hi, i have a Windows Domain Controler (Server 2003 Ent.) and like five Windows XP Professional SP2 Workstations. Three of these are connected via 10/100 Mbps Wired Network (Easy) and there are two that are connected via wireless that can connect to each other. There is also a wireless network adaptor in one of the workstations that is connected to the server because i ran out of ports on the server. i can not get any of the computers on the wireless network to connect to the server and join the domain. i can not get any computer on the wireless network to connect to a computer on the wired network. I can't use a network bridge because then the wireless network stops working on the computer it is bridged on. What do i need to do to get this working?

Do you have a wireless router (usually has 4 wired port plus one uplink). If so, then just plug in the wired connections and then let windows or the wireless adapter software detect the wireless network. You don't happen to have a linksys wireless router do you?? I've seen problems getting the wired and wireless to both work at the same time on a linksys before.

no i do not have a wireless router. i have wireless cards and wired cards. one computer with a wireless and wired card.

Well i would like to do it without a wireless router because i have not got the money to get one. I only get £20 a month pocket money.

The only way you can do it then is buy another network card for your bridge computer. You then bridge the wireless adapter with one of the cards, and use the other network card to access the network on that computer, that way you should be able to access them all (**not tested, but works in theory**). This is because when you bridge two connections, you connect like a pipe between two sockets, this cuts out the computer inbetween, so you need another socket to connect through.

i will try that in a while because my computers are all messed up.
