On our Public Calendar there is a holiday called Pentecoast. What is that?
We have Easter, Palm Sunday, & Ash Wednesday, but no New Years, X-Mas, Independance Day, etc.
So should holidays on the PC be added for highly known holidays or what?

Pentecost celebrates the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles in the book of Acts, and thus, the beginning of the Church.
Google is your friend..:)

I thought you were too? :(
So, only religious holidays should be on the Calendar?
Most hollidays are religious though. I can only think about ONE day you have off in Norway that is not a holliday except for your week during the summer...
We have several over here that are not religious and are National holidays..
New Years Day (1/1/2005)
Martin Luther King Day (1/17/2005)
Lincolns B-Day (2/12/2005)
Washingtions B-Day (2/19/2005)
Memorial Day (5/30/2005)
Independance Day (7/4/2005)
Labor Day (9/5/2005)
Columbus Day (10/12/2005)
Thanksgiving (11/24/2005)
RD - of the holidays you listed - these 7 (adding Christmas) are the primary federal and state holidays - most personnel contracts/labor agreements we have worked with have these 7 standards...
New Years Day (1/1/2005)
Martin Luther King Day (1/17/2005)...(or Easter/Good Friday)
Easter/Good Friday ... see above
Memorial Day (5/30/2005)
Independance Day (7/4/2005)
Labor Day (9/5/2005)
Thanksgiving (11/24/2005)
Christmas (12/25/2005)
Pretty much guaranteed to have a town hall/school district and state governmant offices be closed on these days. No mail - stuff like that...
Well I wasnt listing the religious ones. ;)
But the banks are closed on Columbus day and no mail or school either.
These all vary depending on your place of employment.
