Last Thursday:
"Don't worry sir, we'll get it all sorted by Tuesday"

Today:
Bike shop - "The part is on order. We should get it in a week or so, sir."
Me - "Part? Which part"
BS - "The rear mech"
Me - "Oh ok so you have all the other parts in already?"
BS - "Other parts?" *gets nervous*
Me - "You said it would be sorted by today."
BS - "Well we'll have to get the rear mech fitted before we can assess any further damage"
Me - "I can tell you what the damage is right now. The chain is busted, the frame is scra-..."
BS "Yes sir but we need to check it for ourselves, indemnity and all that."
Me - "You can see that its ruined by looking at it"

*the conversation went downhill from there and soon became an argument*



Now, I'm normally a cool customer, it generally takes a lot to make me angry. One thing that never fails to boil my blood is people that do not make good on a promise. There is absolutely no excusing that, ever.

I'm now going away to build a temple of hate dedicated to the shop in question, which will remain nameless.

I would demand another Bike instead of repairs, and at least a different model, that one is obviously a faulty piece of rubbish :S
