It kind of bugs me that in a post, you upload the image, and obviously show it somewhere in your post...Then at the bottom the picture shows again..is there anyway we could have it not show the picture at the bottom? Just a link?

Are you saying that the picture shows up twice?
I think he mean that if you upload ONE image, then it will automaticaly show the image at the bottom. But he want it inside the post (text before and after the image), so he want to use the IMG tags to put it where he wants it, but then he has 2 images. This has annoyed me a bit too. And I often upload the image to my domain or post it in an other thread on these occasions (like with my tutorials)

A sloppy workaround, if you dont have your own webserver, is to upload attach the image TWICE. Then it wont automatically
display. Use the IMG tag where ever you want in your post. :)
yeah, this is what i mean:

Sloppy but it works. :D

yaeh, but that wastes forum space : /
If you have already uploaded it before then you can just link to it instead of uploading multiple attachments.
If it hasnt been uploaded before then upload to your personal webspace, if your ISP provedes it, and link to it.
If they dont provide space then I guess you have to suffer and settle for the default action for a single attachment.
Can't you just upload the picture here: Support Images, and then make a link from it to the thread you want to display it ?
Perhaps if the second uploaded file is an empty text file, but just named the same?Quote:

Why the restriction ? I would alow attachmets to regular posts too, I mean what's the diference whether you attach in your main thread or separate thread ?Quote:

Then when you make a tutorial, you might as well attach the pictures there in that tutorial thread ? isn't it the same ?
No, because a tutorial may have more images then what the post can support (currently 5 attachments per post).
You can view Brads sticky in that forum for any other questions you have.
