Wouldn't an option under "Thread Tools" to simply resolve a thread be a good idea?
It would makethings much more simple for everyone.

Thanks, but similar ideas have been proposed a number of times but all would mean that a hack would have to be written (and most importantly maintained) and we try to avoid that.
If someone can find a hack for doing this that is relatively lightweight (meaning it doesn't modify too much in the existing system), then I'd be willing to see if I can push it through. This would, however, be asking for an exception to the rules.
Brad
this whole site is php driven, right? I would assume 'hacking' the code wouldn't be that bad...Now, I have to say that i don't really know php but i have seen custom sites based on phpBB before...
Primarily PHP. I may have what I need already.Quote:

That isn't something we want to deal with, so it is easiest to avoid hacks/ changing the code.
Brad!
oh i get it now...i can see how that would be a problem...we have that problem where i work.
We have actually added "Mark Thread Resolved" in the Thread Tools menu. This only works for the person that started the thread.
Brad!
In case anyone is wondering, Thanks should go out to (in alphabetical order) Brad, Heidi, NoteMe, & visualAd for
a great job!
:thumb:'s guys :D
Edit: Any chance of getting the green checkmark icon on the menu too?
Hehe...yeah something like that:
Brad - For implementing template
NoteMe - For making the template
Heidi - I guess she implemented the code in the php file
VisualAd - Wrote the php code
RobDog - For making the Resolved button that was never used..:)
Now then it is officialy.
Well done everyone. *** applause ***
Technically, I provided the green checkmark too many months ago. :D
Edit: I updated my post. :D
yay! go team!
:ehh: who is Heidi? :ehh:
One of the Jupiter Media developers I believe.
I like it :thumb: It doesn't add the "Last edited by" text as well.
Go local team and/or college! :)
