Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
I have XP Pro. When I turn on my computer it automatically logs into the Admin account without even prompting me with the Welcome screen.
How do I change this behavior? I really need to do this for my kids could easily use my admin account and I don't want that!
Thanks

In User Accounts, Change the way users log on and off.
Click the Use Welcome Screen. Add a password, also (recommended)

You could set a password in your account then change the Account Type of the other users to Limited....
Re: Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
I already have it set to use Welcome Screen, however the computer still ingores the Welcome Screen on first boot.
No what?
Re: Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
Do you have a Password set?
Re: Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
Yea, you dont have a password set. My XP PRO setup was like that also. That shouldnt be a default, it doesnt really make sence
Re: Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
download Tweak UI for windows xp from microsoft's website. It could be that you do have a password set but windows automatically uses your pass to log you in. If it's so, then using tweak ui do this:
in the Logon tab, uncheck "logon automatically at system startup"
Re: Changing the Way I login to XP Pro
To fix this you need to delete the reistry values detailed here:

And turn off the ability to remember the last person who logged on:
