Recompiled with MDAC 2.8 reference, will old users need to re-install app?
I recently installed MDAC 2.8 on my development machine, and changed my project to reference MDAC 2.8 and recompiled an exe
My users would have installed the program with the 2.7 MDAC_TYP.exe, now I would like to send them this new exe, but since it was compiled with a 2.8 reference, will they need to install 2.8 for it to run, or will 2.7 do for now..?
If i'm not making sense, please say so!

SkiNLaB,
Yes, You should have them install MDAC 2.8 to match your program. MDAC 2.7 may work but you changed it for a reason and that should warrant them to change also.

I didn't REALLY update for a reason, thought I may aswell... to avoid any hidden bugs etc.
If it will continue to work on 2.7, great. They will eventually be updated to 2.8 when I introduce a new component or something that forces a new installation package to be created.
