How do I link VB with remote http/dsn/odbc server

Hi,

I am Using VB6.0/ASP/Ms Access

I need some information how to connect to a remote server (website) from within visual basic. I am making use of MSaccess and DSN (ODBC) on my shared web hosting (ASP works perfectly). I have not done this yet. How would I link VB to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to INSERT,QUERY,UPDATE etc? what connection string should I use? and what API, DLL should I use? I would be happy if someone can assist me on this. Please excuse my stupidity for not knowing this. Thanx
