Big thread title problem here in VBForums
Throughout the entire time I was a member here in VBForums, I've been seeing too many thread titles such as "Help me please", "Help", "Im a noob", "?", "Question", etc. I know many of the people who create such thread titles are either young, beginners, and/or new members, but it would be nice if the Mods/Administrators informed them to change their thread titles to something more specific and breif, or even change it for them. Matter of fact, we had a chit chat thread based on this:

So please be sure that sensible thread titles are used around here. They would get more help if this is done. Thanks :thumb:

I made a copy of a Sticky from the Classic VB forum and posted it here.
Re: Big thead title problem here in VBForums
A suggestion, maybe newly registered users should be taken (after registration) to a page with a few quick pointers regarding the forum. But this should be very short so they dont get bored reading it and just skip it. Write something like:
-Before asking a question, alway do a Search (post an image of the Search link, most people dont notice it). A lot of questions have already been answered.
-When making a thread, be sure to always give it a specific name (Subject). Avoid things like: "Please Help", "A Quick Question", "I'm a begginer" etc
-After you received a satisfactory answer to your question, edit (show image of Edit button) your first (initial) post, and select the green checkmark (Show image) and/or add the text "[RESOLVED]" to the thread title. That way people that find that thread via a search can see that it contains an solution to the problem mentioned in the Subject.
-Remembe to Rate people that 'go the extra mile' to help you solve your problem. (Show the Give Rating image)
