I didn't realize you were looking for eBooks. I can't help you there, because whatever sources I do know are, well, illegal. ;)
There's a free downloadable eBook here . I haven't checked it out, though, so don't know if it will be aimed at beginner level.
Some books now have an electronic version on the book's accompanying CD. I don't know what the legal/copyright issues would be if anyone sold their copy of the CD but kept the printed book, though. I would guess that it' s probably not allowed.

Thanks buddy. I'm moving up from my comfort zone (VB6) to .net and its not as logical to get things done IMHO. But I have to persist if am not to become a dinosaur.
