Massive Network Control program
Most of you have seen my old post about a website filter, but the program which is already working properly is adding on new features.
The program can already:
-Filter out websites
-Monitor student computers
-Server/Client work fine
Features which will be added:
-Add HTTP Server to redirect filter websites
-Develop better blocking system
-Develop logging system (Log actions[programs opened, websites visited], Remote screenshot)
-Develop gateway filter. This feature will force laptops to take the software so the laptop students cannot bypass the filter.
-Develop better update system
-Redefine GUI a little more
-Novell Integration (Load Novell User information to display to admin)
-Somehow detect Proxy websites which will undermine the filter.
Possible Features in the future:
-Presentation section. This would display the teacher's screen to show all the students where to go to access a file for learning purposes.
-Mac OS compatible
We will need the following developers:
-Winsock Developer
-General VB6 expert
-Knowledgable Novell integrator
-Windows API expert (user32.dll mostly)
Like I said, the program already exists, we are just updating alot of the features for better protection.
We hope to launch July 2005. I have a few schools intrested in purchasing large scale. So pay will be good once sale

Re: Massive Network Control program
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION BELOW WAS MADE FOR MARKETING INFORMATION, IT IS DIRECTED TO ADMINISTRATORS WHO WOULD BUY THIS PROGRAM. The content is just to explain what will be in the suite
AutoFill/Web Filter:
Arctic eShield's advanced website filter module assists administrators to help filter more of the unwanted content by providing the AutoFill add-in. AutoFill automatically detects domain information so the administrator doesn't enter the wrong IP/DNS addresses assuring air tight blocking. AutoFill also detects other websites linked to the given IP/DNS addresses and determines which are good and bad.

Timed Block:
So maybe you want users to be able to visit some websites but not all the time. You can tell AeS when to unblock and when to block again. For example, allowing users to access email during lunch (12-1) but not during the rest of the day.

Special Watch:
If you don't have time to search for unwanted domains, you can tell AeS to compile a list of all websites visited by all users during a give time(Daily, Weekly, Monthly) or you can tell it to show the most visited websites and then you can make an accurate decision on what should be blocked and what shouldn't be.

Example SWP-1: Administrator is about to filter illegal website.

Example SWP-1: Special report of top visited websites. Administrator is taking action on a user who visited illegal website.
Mobile Version:
RattleSoft understands the problem with mobile users doing what they please because they are not bound by the same software your computers. That is why we developed a mobile version with less features but still stops users from using your internet without permission. The mobile version installs when the user attempts to connect to the internet and removes itself 24 hours after install.
User Module:
AeS has a built in module which allows administrators to setup user accounts for people who need access to disable AeS on their local machine. This feature also logs what that user did and when they did it. This feature will help administrators to determine who did what instead of just guessing.
Connections:
Administrators can see who is connected to their AeS network, including servers, mobile units, user computers, etc and you search for a username and it will pull up the computer information. Computers are divided into groups for administrators to identify servers as servers and user computers as user computers. The connections module is the most important and most advanced feature in the AeS suite. You can close processes on certain computers, run forensics scans, view logs for that user or machine.

Program Blocker:
Tired of users downloading chat programs, file sharing programs, local machine based games? You can stop that now. As with our web filter, you can block out applications from being launched. Once a user tries to open a blocked program, the action is red flagged.
Forensics Scan:
Piracy is a big issue in this century and laws are getting harder both on the person who downloaded it and the company who allowed it to happen. AeS understands this and developed an advanced scan system similar to industrial anti virus scanners except it compares programs to a database of file information and if programs or files match, the scanner takes note and when the scan is done it will delete the file and any attached files. Once done it will talk with the servers and tell you who put the file on that computer and when it happened.
RattleSoft is currently seeking endorsements from anti piracy communities for this product.
Customization:
AeS was developed to be customized. RattleSoft is currently developing an AeS add-on which will allow administrators to develop a custom theme for their AeS network. You will be able to change the block logo to something that resembles your company theme or change color themes to fit what best fits your company.
Scheduled Tasks:
If you want AeS to do certain tasks, such as scan all computers with forensics scanner, maintain system files, update computers, etc you can tell AeS to start computers at a given time and run each task. When task #1 completes it will launch task #2, and so on.
Product is being redeveloped in VB2005 / VB.NET
Re: Massive Network Control program
Positions:
-Network Security developer
-Developer with extensive knowledge of proxy servers and bypassing filters. (This job can be combined with Network Security developer)
-SQL developer (Someone with fair amount of knowledge with SQL queries and conenctions)
-developer with fair amount of knowledge with Windows Server 2003/2000
-developer with knowledge of Novell integration.
Many of this jobs can be combined into one job.
Novell integration is not a key part, but for some places who still use novell software, this will be key.
Windows Server 2003/200 will probably be the base point for the server side, but the server part will work on XP
Databases will be a big part of the package, because of the user system and log system will be tied to SQL.
The system will be designed with .NET/VB2005.
All inquires can be directed to:
Email: [email protected]
All sales will be divided among the team based on how many people are involved(Which will be about 4) divided by income from the product.
Please note that I am in the process of getting endorsments from Anti Piracy organizations and once finished apply to be on the federal E-Rate program which is a list of programs which are recommend for schools to use for security.
