I have just started learning VB .NET (i was semi-fluent in VB6) and i am wondering how easy would it be a competant VB.NET programmer to switch to VC.NET?
I want to be able to switch to VC.NET (for university) by September
thanks

How fluent are you in C or C++?
The transition from VB6 to VB.NET can be pretty intense as it is almost like learning a new language.
However, the transition from C++ to C# really wasn't that bad (at least not for me.)
I've never typed 1 bit of C code in my whole life, so i'm 0% fluent. Yeh i am having a hard time changing from VB6 to VB.NET, i cant get my head around the new way that ADO works, it seems like you have to be fluent in SQL just to use it  :ehh:Quote:
