Increase CPU Usage From 50%
I'm running a monte carlo simulation which has so far taken 10 minutes but is not even half way finished.
When I look at the task manager, my program is only using 50% CPU.
Even when I increase the priority to Realtime it doesn't make a difference.
Is there any way of forcing my program to utilise a higher percentage on the CPU?
Im running WinXP.

Your disk may be a bottleneck in this case. What is the speed of the disk you are using (in RPM)?
Re: Increase CPU Usage From 50%
Im guessing that it is this one http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=8 based on the part number in the Device Manager.
Which makes it 7200 RPM.
Now I stop to think about it, I dont think I have seen any process with more that 50% CPU time ever.
If the issue isn't the HD are there any settings that might force this CPU limitation?

None that I've ever heard of. And I've just about heard it all...
