Wonder what it would be like to be near someone who is so close to God during a time when God is so near ...
I visited a friend of mine who was a vicar the day before she died. I was scared to do so at first and she as very frail and she also knew her time was up, despite the doctors saying she had a slim chance.
I'm glad I did visit her, she did not seem at all fearful of what was coming. ;)
I wonder if his faith waivered at all during his final hours?
On the contrary. People usually remember god even more in their dying hours.

He will be missed!

My mum was telling me a story that she read in her magazine -
A boy was in hostpital with lukemia (SP?) and was dying. His mum decided to bring him home. H e was lying on his bed and hadnt spoke in days until... He said to his mum "The boy at the end of the bed is going to take me now am ready to go". Then the next day he died. But nobody saw the boy at the end of his bed.
That was a true story.
my mum watched a film where an alien came to earth and made friends with a little boy, then after phoning home his alien friends rescued him
That was also a true story.
Thats touching - I'll remember that should I ever need an explanation - heaven forbid.Quote:
