Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
Hi There,
I am developing a software to copy files from a predetermined directory from an iPaq. How do i tell the VB.Net software to copy it to the iPaq directory?
Also how do i tell VB.Net to check if there is a mobile device connected and to create directories?
CHeers a million!
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
the desktop.communications library will do all this.....however beware it does rely on activesync which is very tempormental
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
Yeah ...i know....
that's a bugger....can open net cf perform this?
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
the desktop.communications relies on activesync to get a connection with the device.....(wjhen the icon goes green).... you can then capture the sync event with desktop.communications and hide activesync and get your own application to do whatever work you like
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
Is there any way to do it without active synch?
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
not unless you write your own FTP class for the device using the wininet.dll and copy files to and from a server on the network (via cradle or wifi) or through gprs
Re: Uploading/Download files from a iPaq
 gulp....ok ...active synch it is then...
