Can anyone tell what is the best freeware PHP forum for a web site?
PHPBB is too good but it has many bugs!
vBulletin Board is not free!
Anything else than these two?

Send me also the site links to the suggested php forums!
Thank you in advance!
Snitz forums are free (GPL license), but i think it is ASP not PHP.

Yes, it is an ASP forum! I can't install asp forum because my host doesn't allow to.
Only php forums allowed!
Any other suggestions?
YaBB is good - can't remember if its PHP though.
I personally use PHPBB2.
Yeah, phpBB developers are coming out with a new version soon, called Olympus...
Alacritous

Is invision free?
Not anymore, its like a 2 week trial for Invision 2 and it has hard coded limits. Umm... Invision 1.3 is free however.Quote:

Ok! Can you also give the link for the paid version of Invision?
Thank you pc_madness!

I think I will try the first one my self. At least it has attachments. But I hate the colors, so I guess I have to find my CSS skills from the back of my head and open PSP again..:)

It was really easy to install. And has all the futures I wan't. Still a couple of things to resolve, but I think it looks ok. Need to find a better theme though. But that isn't the hardest part...I hope.

If you want a fast, secure and simple forum, then AZbb might be a good choice. Too bad it doesn't have a good template by default, but you can always make a better one :)
Btw, what do you mean by "phpBB has bugs"? All forums have bugs, but phpBB2 is a fairly stable one. All my forums are phpBB :)
Have to advertise here for phpBB users: I'm creating a thing called phpBB Site. But I guess I don't say much more here, I only get a worse reputation than I already have :D
there's also one called MiniBB which seems fairly decent. simple & lightweight.

YaBB is written in Perl.
YaBB SE is written in PHP, though.
php Net is a lightweight forum.
UseBB too.
That's just the first two pages after searching sf.net for "forum".
You can post here....
This one is free.
