Up to now, I've always been able to delete any post I made in an existing thread.
It seems that is no longer available? Why?

It's a mistake in the settings for the new PowerPoster group and it will be corrected soon.
Should be fixed now. Let me know if it's not.
Yep, it is fixed.
Thanks. :thumb:
I can't delete my posts today. 2-18-05 (7 AM)
I just did an edit on the post I made that is immediately above yours, and the ability to delete it was there. Try again.Quote:

I was referring to epixelman's reply ;)....As yours was solved yet he still had a little trouble I thought that could be it :).
Yes it was the first.
How come we can't delete it.
I posted a test web app, but want to delete it so no one hits the web site anymore.
Test ActiveX Web App Thread
Thanks
You can not delete the first post of a thread. You can however edit it to take out the link your referring to. :)
You aren't allowed to delete it because deleting the thread means the other people who have replied to it will loose there posts too. And in such a situation deleting the thread isn't really the best thing.Quote:

Your thread kinda falls into that area because its the whole idea of keeping an archive of everythign :)....If however you make a thread by mistake contacting a mod/admin asking for it to be deleted would be possible, but this is mainly for things like you posted in the wrong section or something then we would remove it for you :).
Yeah, but images and attachments are temporary, and that is not good for the seach aspect of the forum.
If your talking about the attachment quota then thats there so at least we have a lid to stop people going over the top and abusing that we store attachments. Don't know if you've seen before but there has been quite a few people who will upload something to VBF and clearly are using us to store the file for somewhere else.Quote:

Well... It makes sense to not delete because others can benefit.
Good idea on just editing it an removing the link.
Thanks
