Rebounding, Conservation of momentum
Take away gravity and air resistance.
I got two spinning objects, each with a matrix. They collide, how do I determine what happens to them once they collide?
I need something simple, not perfection -- or if you will a tutorial to perfection and an explanation made simple.
Re: Rebounding, Conservation of momentum
Nvm, I realize I had a thread on this subject earlier and NoteMe responded with a rather nice article.
Unfortunatly I have to sign up to see the article and at this moment I am lazy -- but I will once I definetly need it.
Re: Rebounding, Conservation of momentum
When I saw your thread last night I looked for that bookmark again. And I couldn't find it...:) And I didn't find the old thread here either. Would you be so kind and post a link to it, so I can add the bookmark again?
BTW Gamasutra is one of the best resources on the net for game programmers. You should always look for an article or tutorial there before you enter into a new topic. Most of the articles are written by game programmers in the big companies. So they are very good.

You can right-click on the post # on the right side of your window to get the properties of that post, which you can then send. The user can see that post only, so it is not always the best thing to use.
