Hello
has any one here programmed plugins for the eclipse platform??
as i'm looking at porting some of my application to the platform as it provides a lot of benefits that i couldn't write to any greater standard... why reinvent the wheel?!
so, has anyone written any plugins and did they have any serious problems? what kind of time / skill is required to say port a simple view, say a Tree into the ecelipse framework?!

I switched over to NetBeans but havent been able to write a lick of code due to setup problems. I think i might just switch back to eclipse.
was netbeans easy to program for? i assume its the same concept?
For some reason, there have been A LOT of people with problems concerning netbeans.
I thought netbeans was kind of complicated..Just too much stuff there. I personally like just using a V.A.T.E. and the command line.Quote:

If you don't need the Inteli Sense, then JCreator is a great alternative. Much faster. And don't have these oddities.
I think the reason for NetBeans beeing so slow, is because it is written in Java..:P
