I will pay $300 for anyone who can demonstrate how to link an MPEG video with text. For example; If a video of Madonna is playing and she sings "like a virgin- touched for the very first time, like a virgin" then I want to see the video playing along with the words in a rich text box being appropriately highlighted along with her lyrics. The highlighting of text should be synchronized with the music's lyrics and video. This would be somewhat analogous to a "karaoke" effect. Ideally, the code should be designed so it would be easy to synchronize a whole CD's lyrics up with the CD's music and up with the videos for those songs; Although, a short example of functionality will be sufficient. There should be two modes; one for synchronizing text/lyrics, music and video; and another for synchronizing just music and text/lyrics. Also, I want the .exe to be designed so that if one double clicks on the lyrics "for the very first time," then the video should go to the place in the video where Madonna is singing those exact lyrics. Obviously, it is not necessary to use Madonna for demonstration purposes; In fact I would prefer that her music wasn't used.

If someone knows how this can be coded, then let me know so there is not a bunch of people working on it at once. When the coding is done then send me an ".exe" example and if it meets my expectations, then I'll send you the money and you send me the VB source code. If I decide to use your code, I will give you full credit for your contribution when my software is completed and goes to market.

here is how you do it. so i think
on the server, have voice recognation softwar (something that will recognize ANYones voice (such thing doesnt exist)

and when a video is playing.
have the software pick up the words..

what exactly do you mean "un crackable"

From that project description it's clear that you have no idea how these things are programmed.

You need to have a format for displaying timed text so that with or without the music/video the text is scrolled and highlighted as if the movie was playing. Then if someone clicks some part of the text the time for that text is referenced and the music/video moved to that time tic.

Whether you want to go so far as incorporating that with a music or video format (like appending your timed text format to the front of an mpeg and open it with your player, seperate and play) or just package seperately is up to you.

I would suggest anyone taking up this task (I wouldn't bother for a vague promise of $300 though a website from a person in a different country) write a formatter that plays the song once and lets you manually tag the text while the software times it, when you finish you can save! but the songs will have to be done one at a time...

Welcome to the real world ye of LA LAh land, those Karaoke machine tracks, there is a text overly format that is pretimed and added to the track.

Some one had to time it! you can't automate it - unless you get the voice (singing) regonition thing hapening, which if you did you could sell for 5HIT LOAD5 of cash.
