What are some of the differences in developing on Win98se and Win2000?
I upgraded my development machine to dual boot Windows2000. NOw I am having errors crop up in my code that were not there before. Apparently the iNET controll and searching an RTF box behave differently.
Anyone else experience this ?

Maybe because Win2k is 16-bit (like Windows NT)
And Windows 98 is 32-bit (like...Windows)
So your controls are probably different in Win2k than Win98.
There are going to be a lot of things that you cannot do on Win2k that you can on Win98.
But Windows 2000 Mellennium will be for 32-bit.
By the way, anyone heard of any information on it? (When it's coming out..if not already?)

I worked on a Gateway the other day which had ME on it. Doesn't look like anything special; another cosmetic upgrade with IE 5.5. If you maintain your win98, then you've already got most of it.

Naaaahhhh. don't get WinME..
I have heard bad stories about it... No DOS... etc.
and I have used it on a machine at Best Buy,
it is really pretty, and user friendly, but it basicly sucks, its for computer illeterates..
it makes everything so easy.
I really hate it.
but one good thing is the way you can view pictures,
you know that ugly little jpg icon?
well, replaced with that is an about 100x100pixel thumbnail, with the little jpg icon in the bottom right corner,
you can still see the bigger thumbnail on the left side of the screen, like you can in Win98....
but other than that 'nice' feature, it kinda sucks..

Actually Windows ME came out on the 14th. One cool thing about it is that you can take snapshots of your system files and such so if later you start having problems you can roll back to a snapshot. Not bad. Overall its not much different then 98 a little better but...
