dead aim :afrog:
btw my aim only uses 11 :thumb:
Gaim (gaim.sourceforge.net), its got tabbed instant messanging.
heh , at the moment my aim is using but 7 :)
It's a thing of beauty!.
BTW: thought GAIM was primarily for linux?
Thats probably what it was first made for, and the reason I tried it (Linux AIM from AOL is pretty poor), but there is a Windows version.
Yeah I use GAIM...
I used to use Trillian... but it just seemed weird.
There are tons more, though. I use other IM clients besides AIM because (1) AIM has ads (2) slow, etc uses resources like you said (3) only AIM... I have MSN, AIM, ICQ, etc, so as you can see it is useful.
Gaims seems a little buggy though. Maybe because the fact that it is open source and not made by some company, etc.
AOL sucks. Too slow cause of too many people online (which hogs up server speed hence it slows everyones internet speed down, even for people with high bandwidths), useless program that opens when accessing the internet which contains pointless garbage, too expensive, etc.
for some reason tabs bother me, I could never do tabbed IMs or tabbed internet...it just never worked for me haha :p
Wow, thats pretty funny. I'm the exact opposite. I'm a tab addict, tabbed instant messaging and internet. I even modified my WindowManager so I can tab windows together. :DQuote:

[EDIT] Trillian was pretty nice too if I remember.
Trillian is quite nice. Gives you the option of logging on to five or six different IM services, including AIM, MSN, and ICQ... I just like it because the buddly list in Trillian is hidden from the task bar. Shows up next to the volume control.. quite nice.
I don't understand what this has to do with Zaphod's ex girlfriend?
