My PC's confused, well something screwy is going on it's head.
Using VB common dialogs to save open files is fine - I can open and close the folder tree with no probs. Similarly if I us Windows Explorer/My Computer no probs. However if I'm in an an app (such as Word or Outlook) and I want to save/open/attach a file if I hit the drop down folder list I'm waiting for donkeys years (roughly 3 mins) for something to happen. Once it's open I can navigate around without any hassles.
Any ideas? Machine has 256 Mb Ram, with dual P3 processors, running Windows 2000, office 2000. Problem has only come about since reinstalling my machine - necessary cuz I was getting 'virtual memory' errors left right and centre.
If the suggestion is to re-install, again, you may see me winning the Olympic 10k in record time while screaming like a banchee, carrying a burning effigy of Bill Gates and spitting splintered bits of PC at any person attempting to arrest me - all this after swimming (underwater the whole way) from England to Ozland.

you can run Disk Defragmenter for the long delay, and scandisk for all of the errors
