I thought I'd get a response

Seems like people are always complaining about the lack of opportunities for programming positions. I posted this advertisement and have not received one response from vbforums. Heh. What the hey?

I have received several inquiries from people that have read that paper. But I am dissapointed that not one person from here has even sent an inquiry.

I've ran the advertisement for two weeks, and I'm cutting it off at the end of this week. It's hard to believe that folks complain about a lack of jobs and yet will not even try to do something when opportunity knocks on the door.

I don't think that many people venture to that part of the forum. I'm sure there will be people on this forum that would like that too just a case of not seeing it, which is sad to say when you went to the trouble of putting it in the right place rather than trying to put in in a Q&A Section.

Yeah, I thought about that, I guess. Not like there's a lot of posts there. You've revealed my ulterior motive :)

That is, I'm posting in Chit Chat hoping that someone will notice.

meh...I looked at it about 3 days ago, but it seems i'm not qualified since I only graduated last year and only have 1 yr of 'corporate' experience thats with vb.net. Also, I don't know how I would feel about moving to NM.

Mike most of the people from the states that post here live on the east so i dont think they would want to move to all the way to the west. You also have a lot of people from the UK here since this site(as far as ive always understood it) is based in the UK.

It used to be based in the UK before JM came in but now its all in the states :).

FWIW, on that ad I puposely put 3+ years experience knowing that probably no one has that much experience solely in .NET. Wanted to filter out anyone who didn't have the confidence to be able to say "I can do that".

And for those folks interested in getting teenage girls pregnant, the age of consent in New Mexico is 14 :)

Its scary to think of 16 year olds let alone 14 :eek:

I doubt there teenage pregnancy rates are higher than ours though.

Apparently there is not alot to do here in the UK :lol:
