Share Folders in 2003 (Resolved)
How do I setup networking in windows 2003 to get rid of the password and username box. When I had it installed before it never did this. Whenever I try to connect to the server pc from an xp machine it pops up asking for a username and password. There is no username and there is no password.
I have set permissions to max and I have run the share folders wizard that comes with 'Manage my server'
ARGHHHHH if my boss would let me I would run back to Server 2000 any day
Re: Share Folders in 2003
Guest account needs to be enabled (Default disabled) by going to admin tools and local security settings :)

If you were to create an account on the Windows Server 2003 machine with the name username and password on both computers, it will also work. This is how you have to do it for Windows <= ME.

In permissions for that folder, add the username that you want to give control to. Give full control if you have doubts. And this should work perfectly if they're on the same network domain.
