Wow

Here is my Feedback. This is one of the Greatest VB Forums that I have been too yet. I love it here. My posts always get answered and I am never left out in the dark. I understand now that people here help each other out a whole lot and I just hope that I will be accepted here too. I can understand how some people might be mad at me because of my first post. But I know that with time they will learn to accept me and I will be accepted here. I can understand that everyone here is a genuis, and I am OK with that. I now know that I probably won't be as good as everyone else here, my goal here is to lean enough VB code to get into Visual Basic I next year and I hope that even though I am in Algebra A that you guys/gals will help me through this rough programmer's block and maybe I can become just as good as you people.

This place is awesome for getting VB questions answered. You are right about that. If you want to get to know me better, since I was the one replying to most of your posts, here's almost everything about me:

I have 8 year experience with VB, but been programming longer on other languages since I was 10, such as Amiga BASIC and Apple][c BASIC. I'm now 23. Throught my entire life, I've always have been fascinated with Video Games and how they are made. Which is why I chose to learn how to program at an early age of 10. The whole time I worked with VB, I've been making my own games. Here are some that I've made 4-5 years ago:

After that period that I've been making those games a few years ago, I decided to learn how to work with 3D to make some 3D games. At first I was trying to make a non DirectX based 3D engine, but found out the hard way that VB's drawing functions are super slow. API's and Windows GDI helped a little bit, but still too slow. That's when DirectX and OpenGL came into play. Now I'm hooked on those graphic libraries which helped me produce games like this:

So you'll find me mostly in the Games And Graphics Programming area.

Aside from programming games, I'm a skateboarder (been doing it for 11+ years), a keyboardist/synthesist, a hardcore metal head, I remix music on my computer and create beats, a college student, a production welder where I work at, and have been with my girlfriend for almost 3 years. Also I'm into stereos. My computer is hooked into my equalizer, which hooks into my Dolby digital prologic surround sound processor, which hooks into my receiver. I have 7 real speakers surrounding me, 4 of them being 2 1/2 ft tall with 10 in woofers, 2 rear speakers, and a center speaker. I don't use crappy computer speakers.

the biggest nix - What? No subwoofer? :(

I have 600W/4 in my Blazer, with 800W/2 15" subs. Gives a new meaning to BASS, the way it was intended to be heard. Also, have a SONY system at home, with 550W/5 and a 220W sub. It's good enough for the apartment.
The only time I catch myself turning it down is when I play a DVD that was encoded in digital format. It gives a new definition to the word AMAZING!

btw - there is no need to equalize a digital signal.

When you need to have that type of stereo system for your computer, you are spending way too much time on it. Get out of the house and live a little.

Too late. I hang out with my college buds, go out for a drive just for the hell of it, usually drinking in the bar and playing pool, skate everything that gets in my way (need some work ollieing large sets of stairs though), chill with my girlfriend (don't wanna get too personal there if ya know what I mean), and usually walking and skakting long distances to places just for fun. I remember one time I went 15 miles from my house just to skate in St. Cloud's only skatepark. When I get a new vehicle, I plan on going to Vans Skatepark all the time. 60000 square ft of heaven!

The source code is available for download right when you come in where it says MKvsSF.zip. Ignor the pics. Those problems have been solved months ago. I originally had that site up just to hold a memory dll file I made, but when I ran into problems making my game, I used the site to have pics of my problem for people to solve on another forum.

Also in the zip file, delete the EXE file in there. It hasn't been updated and has problems. The source code version is the updated one. Here are the controls:

Mouse : Free Look

Keypad 8: Camera Forward
Keypad 5: Camera Backward
Keypad 4: Camera Strafe Left
Keypad 6: Camera Strafe Right
Keypad 7: Camera Turns Left
Keypad 9: Camera Turns Right
Keypad 1: Camera Comes Down
Keypad 3: Camera Goes Up

Left: Ken walks forward (This is reversed if camera is on the other side of Ken)
Right: Ken walks backward (This is reversed if camera is on the other side of Ken)

W: Wireframe
S: Textured

-/_: Daytime
=/+: Nighttime

Space: Snapshot
Esc: Exits the program

Note: If Ken walks off the platform then gravity takes over. Also note that his walking animation isn't complete.
