Print Server
Kay.
I'm confused.
I have a home network that I need to set up two computers to.
A laser printer and a color ink printer. Fun.
Print servers only seem to come with one parallel port.
Also, my Laser printer is actually a copier/scanner/fax/printer.
The fax utility is never used, but I'd like the ability to scan my face now and again a print out christmas cards.
Any advice?

Re: Print Server
What OS are the PCs? Rather than a print server, a simple solution would be to attach one printer to each computer and share the printers on your network. Granted both pc's would need to be on to print to each others printers. Actually you could also attach both printers to your main pc and share so that when your on your second pc you just print to the share on the main PC.

Re: Print Server
Okay, technically it's not a true home network.
It's four computers that share the same DSL modem.
My wife's work computer is not able to share resources or be
connected to any outside network.
(She works for a bank and they are persnickitty about that)
So I was thinking of getting a print server, putting it on our router and
so any computer that was on would be able to print to either the laser
or the inkjet.
OS's are XP home, XP pro, NT 4, and 2000.
Yes, they are all different. But we have little control
on the work laptops.
