Dr Divx has a trial period I beleieve :)
- You can use SmartRipper to get the data off the DVD
- You can use DVD2AVI to convert from DVD format to any codec format (I recommend getting and using XviD)
- Then, last of all, you can use VirtualDub to finalize your hard work: include audio to the video (get LAME ACM to have a nice, good quality MP3 sound), using full processing mode for audio, and copy video as-is if you don't want to manipulate the video in any way
Hope this helps :)
DVD Decrypter... Free... search google.
the free one left me with 3 files...a .BUP, .VOB, and .IFO
how do I make them into an avi or other video format?

edit...never mind dvd2avi seems to work nicely
