HI I NEED TO NEED TO CONVERT IMAGE TO TEXT . FOR THAT I M EYEING UPON OCR TECHNIQUE. NOW HAVE NO IDEA OF OCRS.ALSO I HAVE SEARCHED ALOT BUT FOUND NO FREE OCR....
ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTIUON I GOT IS WEHN V INSTALL COMPLETE OFFICE XP V DO HAVE """ OFFICE DOCUMENT IMAGING """
UTILITY IN WHICH V HAVE TO PROVIDE THE SCAN TAG IMAGE... THEN THE SELECTED PORTION IS COPIED TO THE OTHER SIDE. ACCURACY RATE IS GOOD ENOUGH....
NOW HOW CAN I USE THIS IN MY VB 6 PROGRAM .ANY CLUE
I MEAN WHEN V INSTALL OFFICE XP IT MUST HAVE SOME OCX OR DLL REGISTERED OR ANY EXE FILE WHICH IS USING IT.

you can't give away that part of the office package. if you are doing it for yourself, you may be able to use it, but any other user would have to have the same version of Office in order to use your program.

you should wait until RobDog88 comes online. He's the resident Office expert. He may not be on until tomorrow. Some other people have written OCR programs on the forum. Search and you may find something helpful.

i have installed Complete Office XP 2003 . but cannot find """"" Microsoft Office Document Imaging 11.0 Type Library """"""""" in My Components which i can use for My OCR Problem.......... any onw who can help me around in this case....
