My girlfriend claims that (using alternative medicine techniques :ehh: ) she found out she was allergic to vitamin C.
Is it possible to be allergic to something so essential? Wouldn't she have physical problems when oh... I don't know... she ate an orange? (which she does often enough, clemantines are here!!)
It's possible, but then she should have problems with lots of fruits + veggies. Perhaps it's 'mild'?
Well, either it's so mild she never noticed it (the wording was "I didn't know I was ... until ...") or the test is faulty. (hint hint)
I told her that we should do an experiment, take something she's allergic to (milk) and something she's not (...potatoes?) and mix it 100% pure in vials (which is how the test is done) then randomly place them in her hands (either blindfolded or similar liquids).
She doesn't seem too gung-ho to prove it.
Now I just need to double-blind it somehow...
I guess its possible to be alergic to Vitamin C. I don't see it being that likely, becuase it really doesn't spend that long in the body. In fact Vitamin C is a natural laxative, so maybe if she cuts down on her grape intake, she'll feel better ;)
Belive it or not, the thing with most vitamin C in it, is the lions liver (SP?). If you eat it, then you will get a toxic amount of vitamins in you, and you will die if you don't get the right treatment....maybe your girlfriend is from Africa...and she is eating lions...:eek:....

I think your thinking of vitamin A, its stored in the liver. You cant overdose on vitmain C, anyhting you dont use is shat out. And a polar bears liver has more than a lions liverQuote:

You have to have some Vitamin C in your blood or you wouldnt be too well. If its vitimin tablets she seem allergic to then check what else is in them. You can be allergic to it but you would know by now :afrog:
Vitamin C is an Anti-Allergic substance :afrog:
That means the only cure is to give her allergies. :sick:
