ripping chapters off of cd

I have one of those Sony video cameras that records to mini DVD discs. My friend and I are making a video so we need to edit multiple clips, what software would I need to take these chapters of the dvd and put them onto my computer? :ehh:

each time i start and stop recording it makes a seperate chapter btw :wave:

didn't it come with software?

what type of connection do you have to the PC? is it firewire/usb? or do you actually just take the mini discs and put them in your dvd drive?

na I'll just be popping the dvd into my drive

My SONY Digital (tape) camera (firewire) came with a load of software.
