Well yea, when the Neocon Pentagon is putting out garbage like this, what do you expect?
"The one constant of Pentagon force
planning through the past decade has been
the recognized need to retain sufficient
combat forces to fight and win, as rapidly
and decisively as possible, multiple, nearly
simultaneous major theater wars."
Those Democrats, Liberals, and tree hugging war protesting hippies need to realize that Terrorism doesn't just revolve around Osama Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda. This is the War on Terror, not the war in Afghanastan. Terrorists are everywhere around the world.
I'm happy that George W. Bush met with the North Korean Leaders to disarm and dismantle their nuclear weapons program. Iran is next on the list. Otherwise they are going down.
what about our nukes? You cant take all the toys out of the basket and say no you cant have any. there is only one thing i can say in defense of what USA is doing. They are always on defensive, they only attack if attacked on or allies. So ~~~
anyways. it seems most Americans seem to think like JR...
First of all, The U.S. funds Global Terrorism, In return they get more control over the population. The war on terror is no different than the war on drugs my friend, and what happened after the war on drugs? MORE DRUGS on the street. In 1995 after the Oklahoma City bombing there was a Counter-Terrorism Bill, Did that help us in 2001? No, now im having cops pat me down for explosives when they pull me over.Quote:

The war on terror is a fraud, nothing more than an excuse to invade sovereign nations, and plunder global energy resources. Also the N. Koreans still have nuclear weapons i seriously doubt they will disarm.
I wouldn't go that far. I don't think it was known that 2 planes were going to run into the WTC.Quote:

I agree. Why would they? Without them they are nothing compared to US. And if a country has nulcear weapons they have a lot more say so in what goes on. Look at USA for example.Quote:

You didnt know they would use planes but the FBI and the CIA did.Quote:

If they had no prior knowledge why did they to a simulation of a plane crashing in to the Pentagon in 2000.
http://www.mdw.army.mil/news/Contingency_Planning.html
I still cant believe that people are going with the government version of that attack instead of facing the facts. I know those planes could have been intercepted at the WTC much less the Pentagon but since they basically engineered the disaster they had no reason to.
i like the santa hat....at least he looks christmasy :thumb:
They need to put ground-to-air missiles when they rebuild WTC, or maybe everywhere =)
The damn missile sites would probably end up being terrorist targets to use against our own planes though =/
Quick note: Iran is the 4th largest producer of oil in the world.
Now that I've thrown that into the picture... hehe :p
Im not sure thats true.Quote:

Not sure if that's false either.
Hell, if invading countries with nuclear capability is our "new" policy we might as well invade Russia, France, Great Britain, China, Pakistan, India, and Israel. Hopefully Israel would be first.
Wait, i think our policy is to disarm any nuclear capability that is a threat to Israel. were screwed.
The occupation of Iraq is already bad on American morale, so if they are trying to invade Iran they are pretty wack.
Invade Great Britain, ha, you would have to contend with our first line of defence. Morris Dancers
First off, Why is Israel so special it should be first? To be honest, this Jew hating thing is really pissing me off. It makes me so mad to hear it. I am not even religious and it pisses me off. Why stereotype a certain race just because they are different. They are no different than white or black people. Learn to deal with em.Quote:

But, on topic, I agree all the way. I thought this was a war on terrorism(which is impossible anyways.) , not countries that had nukes (and countries they think have nukes.)
Secondly:
Why just say you dont think its true...That is just fishing for arguments. Give examples, reasons, etc. To say "I dont think that" and then end it is kind of childish.Quote:

It's not really anti-sematic to disagree with the policies of Israel or to disagree with American policy towards Israel ;)Quote:

I've seen jewish people protest aginst Israel.
It's not jew-hating, I don't see where anyone incited that in this thread. Perhaps an assumption you're making?Quote:

Would you call the war on Iraq and Afghanistan a war against Islam?
It's about how the picture is painted and how you see it. I feel that the US is smart in giving support to Israel in that region for the purpose of balance of power. The basis of my opinon is weak though, and is open to change.
Has the Bush and Blair administration got anywhere? Seems to me its a bit like plugging a leaky boat - at some stage its going to go down.
The ONLY solution to terrorism is to tackle the root cause
You can cut the grass but it'll keep growing:rolleyes:
Answer this: What is the root cause of terrorism?

We'll send the shriners to take care of them!Quote:

I would have to agree with that. People see that three eyed frog and just figure "Oh well, might as well go kill somebody."Quote:

What is the root cause of terrorism? Life. There has been terrorism by various causes against various targets as long as we have recorded history. Sometimes it is just greater than other times.
Turn of the last century, it was anarchists, which would be extreme left wing and anti-religeous. Now we have some right wing (Tim McVeigh and the Atlanta Olympics bomber), fundamentalists (islamic and christian both, though Islam is leading the league for the last few innings), and unknown (Mr. Anthrax, DC sniper, Columbine, etc).
It can't be ended, but it can be diluted. The 911 hijackers, along with most middle eastern terrorists, are generally middle class and educated. Their actions reflect more of a despair than anything else. Remove the cause for despair, and you remove the incentive for the act.
However, that's not easy to do. There are plenty of people who want the despair to remain because they derive power from the conflict. There are others who would be happy to end the despair...by the death of those who despair, because their interests lie with crushing out of existence another group of people.
You are exactly right, I was assuming. I apologize.Quote:

That subject is sensitive to me I guess. Most people hate jewish people simply because it is popular. They have nothing to back up why.
I would call the war in Iraq and Afghanistan a war that was possibly inevitable. AS MUCH AS I DISAGREE WITH THE REASONING BEHIND IT, I think the US played dirty pool to start something (in my oppinion) cannot finish. Like someone else already said earlier, terrorism really has no root, you cant just ...stop....terrorism...there are ALWAYS going to be radicals that would kill and be killed for what they believe. Most americans are that way, are they not?
"British officials have approved the export of key components needed to make nuclear weapons to Iran and other countries known to be developing such weapons. " - First sentence from posted link above
They are also key components needed to make nuclear energy. If Iran is doing something it shouldn't (in the eyes of the USA), it will more than likely be punished within the next four years... you should know that Corona~ :afrog:
If you say so, I guess Bush was serious when he said this war would last 100 years. Iran needs to have nukes, everyone around them has nukes, and we invaded their neibghour. If we do go to war with Iran there will be a draft, Basically all the globalists need to do is stage another terrorist attack and blame it on Iran.Quote:

I hate it when people talk about a draft. He has said it a million times that there wont be one. I am almost certain he has other tricks up his sleave before trashing his popularity to more than half of the US...Quote:

On a side note. Nukes are good in some cases. in WW2 it saved ALOT of american lives when the Japs were sending propaganda to its own citizens to grab whatever and kill whomever you see. Now in these days, it is just a symbol of power. A country that has a nuke has more say at a conference than a country without one. (like having more toys when you were a kid...you were the most popular  ) If the nukes were to get in the wrong hands, alot of countries are in biiiiig trouble. (Thats why we were so worried about Iraq...and now I guess Iran). N. Korea is too strong for Bush to go against. He will have to go to the table alot for N. Korea. If we invade N. Korea after Iraq and Iran we have a HUGE problem. AND if we do invade N. Korea i think it would be one of the BIGGEST mistakes of all time.
I think invading a country because they want what you want is stupid. If they are not wanting to immediately switch to a Democracy because you tell them to and how to do it, you invade them??? That doesnt make sense somewhere.
Iran won't be attacked. Iran doesn't want it, they're smart. The US doesn't want it, they're smart.
Everyone's smart.
I'd call this a bit of elbotronics. Just like in the theater when you're jostling for elbow space with the guy next to you. It leads to nothing, just a show of power.
:confused:Quote:

Did we invade them "Iran"?
Actually, nukes didn't help in Japan. The Japanese realized that Russia was about to enter the war, and they went for the separate peace (pissed off the Russians, and left some land issues unresolved to this day). The bombs never reduced the resolve of the Japanese people, and they didn't surrender because of them.
Therefore, nukes work best if you don't use them.
***....the nukes didn't influence their decision to surrender!? lol. dood.....it took 2 of em......and unlike most countries these days, Hirohito(sp?) cared alot about his people.
Just one of the myths out of WWII. I'm not even sure that the nukes were the most destructive bombing raids against Japan. The Tokyo firebomb raid destroyed that city about as effectively as the nukes. However, I have never read anything that suggests that the nukes were a key part or the surrender. Why do you think they would be? After all, the army fought to extinction on every island, and on one of the home islands, the residents committed suicide by jumping off a cliff rather than live in occupation. Is that a people who are afraid of a little death? When they accept total annihilation over living under some others rule, why would you expect them to be scared of the loss of a city.
And as for that, Hiroshima was chosen largely because it hadn't been bombed into oblivion before. You might have wondered why we hadn't bombed a more significant city like Tokyo, but the reason is that there wasn't a Tokyo by then, so nuking it wouldn't have had much effect.
What role did the bombs play? The only people I have ever heard who said they had a significant role are people who have an emotional stake in justifying their use. Economists aren't saying it, historians aren't saying it, sociologists aren't saying it.
It's sort of like the bombing of Europe. Despite flattening many cities in an attempt to destroy material production in Germany, the production of such things as tanks kept on rising. There may have been a decline in the last few months, but the best that all that bombing could be said to have done is to slow the increase in production.
why is it only our job? (and england)...and no I'm not counting those "30 other countries" or however many there are that have about 10 guys there.
this is what the UN is for! this started out as "a war on terror" and now its a "war on anyone with nuclear capabilities". A few countries cannot rid the world of evil, seems to me hitler wanted something like that didn't he?
And everyone says that catching osama won't end terrorism. that makes NO sense. Catching a murderer in our country won't end all murders, but they can't just be left roaming around! Before we go ruin another country for god knows how long lets find the man that killed our citizens!
I didn't vote for bush, and I think kerry would have done a better job but lets hope he proves me wrong :) :thumb:
arr i hate this topic the whole bush hating rubbish, :-p fact is these 'peoples' lives is ruled by religion and i'd perfer a few people to die now rather than millions later when they get the tech to blow up the west because we dont believe in there islam, i've been doing a lot of reading about this matter and muslim is a religion to be proud of but in practice people dont follow it they say they do but dont a quote once
'islam is perfect the people who practice it arnt' that came from a muslim women who was treated like a lower class person because she was a women,
anyway my point is areas of the world are still in the dark ages and its only time before they get the tech and power to start killing millions of people because 'god says so'
:) just my humble opinion
This country has enough people whoes lives are ruled by a religeon that they follow in name only. They scare me enough already. Islam can wait it's turn as far as I am concerned.
religion got bush reelected.
and its not like christians can say much better, the only reason we're not blowing stuff up or killing people is because we ignore and realize that the bible is not a modern text and that it shouldn't completely be followed.
Wow, apparently you have insider knowledge, mind sharing where you recieved it??? Or are your comments just a result of your own naive, biased, Bush Hating, uninformed opinion?Quote:
