What will Bush do/not do in the next four years, now that he's won?
My predictions:
* More hilarious bushisms.
* Tightening of control of security within the US
* No more pretzels.
* Attempt to rebuild ties with countries that "aren't so happy" with him.

One more thing, I happen to be from Syria, and it's a peaceful country. Second of all, there were no WMD in iraq, there isn't any in syria, and you're delusional for believing that there was any to begin with. BTW, one main reason for me hating bush is that he made the USD drop by 20%. What once used to be 1 USD = 1.57 CDN is now 1.22 CDN. Because of that, I lose $200 every month because americans dont seem to give a crap about prosperity and would rather invest in demolishing people's lives over seas :). Well not all of them, there are some intellectual americans that voted for Kerry in hope that he might have some sort of strategy laid out to create jobs and possibly stop spending endless cash on deleterious military campaigns that have yet to show some worth.
Yea..he had a great plan...He had this stupid idea that we should move to a free healthcare system, which would create jobs, but oh yea its free so now I get to pay more taxes for all these new worker's wages. So now I have less money becuase he raised taxes.Quote:

And about outsourcing, yes it is the American companies doing it and it was the Democrats who keep raising taxes that caused it. Bush's plan to give businesses taxes breaks it great. It is going to cut down on outsourcing and give more opportunity for raises and improvements within the companies.
And apparently someone outside of the US cares because he was complaining about loosing money because of our government.

Out of interest, what's wrong with outsourcing. Surely you believe in a free market and Capitalism, or do you believe in a socialist set up.
If you start protectionist policies on your own goods (for example steel), then the cost of steel (for US customers) will go up, and you will pay more for your cars etc. On top of that, you will only trigger another trade war with Europe and Asia.
Really, I can't see how you can have it both ways. Either you believe in Free trade or you believe in controlled markets. I think protecting certain segments of your industry would be detrimental to your economy as a whole.

Outsourcing does have a bit of a problem. Americans have an expected standard of living that is pretty high. If you can't afford that 20-40k SUV, you just aren't really living are you?
Flippancy aside, the production jobs in this country have been fairly well paying for decades. That's why outsourcing is looking good to companies. If the higher paying production jobs are all lost, it will change the dynamics of this country.
I have a masters degree, have been in the workforce for over a decade, and am in a job that requires a masters, but there are some production jobs that require only a high school diploma that start at a higher wage than I make.
If we lose those, we get into a bind where those who are not educated fall even further behind. Greater poverty decreases educational opportunities. Less education will increase ignorance. Increasing ignorance will mean more republicans elected to office.
A vicious cycle.

I'm not saying Kerry is a genious, nor is he much better than bush, but atleast he doesn't theorize about waging war on smaller/insignificant countries and threaten them with biggest army known to man. The best thing for the states would be to make allies, not enemies.

They have switched many positions over time. The current Republican party holds many of the same positions that were Democratic postitions during the early part of the century, and the Dems are slowly taking over many of the traditional Republican fiscal positions, as the Republicans take over the Democratic position.
Kind of interesting. The two parties are swirling around in a giant eddy.
