Point of sale program.
School Admin system (report cards, attendance, scheduling - all that good stuff) - went live in mid-August.
Financial Accounting system (payables, receivables, general ledger) - going live mid-November.
Labor Union Fund management system (health benefits, annuity, pension, unemployment) - going live early next year.
3 long years of development so far - converting from Digital VAX mainframe to VB with MS SQL backend...
60 hours a week average (of my time) - along with two or three area high-school students assisting in the VB and T-SQL STORED PROC work.
I am the only programmer at my company so I have other
- Police Parking Permit Database Application.
- Detective Case Management Application.
- Client Management / Serivce Call Center Application.
- Attorney Client / Case Application.
- Custom MRP Report.
- Website for a Distribution co.
- Imaging Software Application implementation at a community college.
- Database conversion for above college.
- Re-writting of of Service Call center from VB6 to .NET 2003.
- Plus 40 hours of my own personal time a week keeping up with
the above projects.
duties of maintaining our in-house applications. Plus any other
available time I am here on the Forums or working on remodeling
our house. So I am only a little stressed! :(
I've been studying for a couple of years. It's fine :) But, I have stopped working too. I miss developing software, interaction with users, colleagues, programming... and money!!!
